Grab Sample from Sill at 240 level
In September of 2019 a grab sample from the Sill of the recently mucked out 240ft level was collected. The sample was fine grained and taken from near the old ore bin ties. The sample was about 50 ft west from the shaft just below the old and jammed ore shoot. This sample was taken from an easily and safely accessible location for the individual to collect from the sill (floor) of the drift. The samples were for purposes in determining whether the muck in the sill was worth collecting for milling.
Samples were sent to Hazen Research, Inc. in Golden, Colorado who performed fire assay analysis with gravimetric finish. Results presented in Table 1.0 are from Analytical Report 19M02759-001.
Tools used to obtain these cut samples include shovel, sample bags, and appropriate personal protective equipment. These samples are the ninth set of samples taken by the current operator of the Bates-Hunter mine, BH Mining Company.
Sample 1: 240-002: A 1-gallon zip lock bag was filled 1/3 of the way with the fine grain muck found at the bottom if the Sill on the 240 ft level just below the old ore shoot.
Near-term planned work includes additional samples to be taken from the 240-foot level. Mineralized material located in fill and easily accessible vein remnants is being gathered as it becomes safely accessible for bulk sample analysis to include metallurgical recovery and mineral processing properties.
